Low Maintenance Deck In Fairfax County
Not every project needs to be oversized to be done right. This is a smaller deck, but it’s built the way it should be with a clean layout, quality materials, and no maintenance issues down the road.
The homeowners wanted something they could step out onto every day without thinking about upkeep. No sanding, staining, or splinters; just style and simplicity!
This is the type of deck we build across Loudoun, Fairfax, Vienna, Arlington, McLean, and Great Falls. Simple, well executed, and built to last.
TimberTech Terrain+ – Weathered Oak
We used TimberTech Terrain+ in Weathered Oak for a natural look that fits the house without looking fake or overly uniform. You get the look of wood without the maintenance. It handles the seasonal changes in Northern Virginia without becoming a problem over time.
Deck Layout
The decking direction changes to break up the space and give it some structure. Nothing overdesigned. Just enough to make it feel intentional.
Picture Frame Border
The picture frame border cleans up the edges and protects the perimeter. It’s a detail that should be standard, but usually isn’t.
Trex Select Railing – Black
Black Trex Select railing keeps everything clean and consistent. Strong, low maintenance, and fits the house without competing with it.
Low Voltage Lighting
Flush in-deck lights and post cap lights give you usable light at night without turning the deck into a spotlight. Subtle and done right.
Versatex PVC Trim
All trim is Versatex PVC. No rot, no movement, no maintenance issues over time. It’s the right material for this type of build.
Framed for Future Steps
The structure is already set up for steps if they decide to add them later. No guesswork and no redoing anything.
