The old deck was gone when we got there. After a few rounds of design attempts we came up with a deck that fit perfectly with the house to include the pool and patio. In the future the patio will be replaced and a hard-scape path that will connect the deck with the pool and patio. We may even screen in that patio under the deck. This deck is quite a showpiece and I bet it looks pretty good at night too, with all of the low voltage light playing off the glass balusters. I need to get out there and take some pictures after the sun goes down. Some interesting features of this one include: - Cedar railing with glass balusters. - Low slope easy climb stairs. - Low voltage lighting on each rail post. - Under deck drainage system over the patio. - Two types of stone for visible and non-visible portions. - Engineered beams over the patio to eliminate the center posts. In short, it is just cooler than the other side of the pillow!
