Whitmer Decks was there to be a one-stop-shop for all four projects. Doing everything at the same time alowed the design in the rear to be integrated and designed as one. As you can see from the photographs, it worked out very well. The shed fills the space perfectly. The front porch had strict guidelines according to the local HOA. It took some searching, but we were able to fine all the components in composite or vinyl so that the entire structure would be low maintenance. The storage under the front porch is used for the garbage cans and thus used often. Extra care was taken to make it easily accessible. The deck in the rear features Evergrain composite decking and railing and has a light on each post. Another unique feature is the staircase that incorporates a landing with three steps built in. This helps save precious yard space. Everyone was very happy with the results. Burke Deck/Front Porch

The home was set up perfectly for the addition of this large deck and screened porch. The yard backs to woods and there was plenty of room to get creative. The design we settled on included a screened porch with an open section for the grill off the main level of the house. The lower deck surrounded a hot tub. Evergrain was used for all open sections while the screened porch contrasts with wood. The composite on the lower deck utilizes two colors to give it a more interesting look and to tie the color of the tub in. A shed was also constructed under the screened porch to take advantage of the space to add some much needed storage. The photographs don’t really do this one justice. There are lights everywhere and the hot tub actually puts on a light show. Very Cool! This job was very enjoyable and I was a bit sad to see it end. The owners were great to work with and the job just went smoothly from beginning to end.

- Young Screened Porch 47 photos The owners wanted to replace their aging small 10x12 deck with something that would extend their living space. Working through the plan with Whitmer Decks, LLC brought us to a 14x19 deck with 12 enclosed by a screened porch. The old deck was very unsafe and this was confirmed when it was torn down (see photos, WOW!). A rear beam was not very practical in this situation and there was nothing to bolt a ledger board onto. The alternative was to sister the joists into the house. This takes a bit longer, but really opens up under the deck. The entire structure turned out fantastic and it is really a showpiece at night with the lights on. A ceiling fan has been roughed in, and will be added in the near future.
