The old deck was done, and it was too small to be useful for anything other than a grille. The yard has a pretty good slope so making the deck larger made a lot of sense for getting more usable space.
This deck has Trex decking along with a cedar railing with metal balusters. We also put stone ground cover underneath to stabilize the soil. A bench was added to the low end to open things up and create some seating.
Lights on the rail posts and under the bench will make for a good looking deck when the sun goes down as well.
