With the southern exposure, this deck gets full sun all day. The owners were looking for a low maintenance solution that would still fit in with the neighborhood. The owners were looking for a low maintenance solution that would still fit in with the neighborhood. A cedar color composite deck was the answer. The framing of the house did not give the required support to attach the deck to the house, but we were able to strengthen the house in order to not have to put in a rear beam. This was a little more work, but resulted in a much cleaner look. The privacy walls were the final touch to make the deck a little more intimate and enjoyable.
